The treatment is based on extremely thin and crystal clear plastic splints - so-called aligners - which move the teeth step by step into the desired position in the jaw.

The duration of the treatment depends on the individual situation. On average, the duration of treatment is between 10 and a maximum of 20 weeks.
With each dental splint, the position of the teeth to be treated is changed only minimally, so that there is a maximum of a slight feeling of tension. After a short familiarization phase, it is possible to speak normally and the splints can be easily removed while eating.
After successfully correcting the position, the teeth must be anchored in this position. For this purpose, either thin metal retainers can be attached to the back of the front teeth or so-called retention splints can be worn at night.
